Eye Patching

So we have been doing the eye patching for a while now and Lucas is doing great with it. He certainly doesn't like it but seems to be adjusting well. He has to wear it for 75% of his waking time...so we have about 1 hour in the morning and 1 hour at night without the patch.
The patch, to be honest, is just a glorified band-aid so it is rather ugly. I found a website that makes stickers for the patches. It is a mom whose daughter had a cataract and while patching she started to draw on her daughters patch to make it more fun. She wanted people to make eye contact instead of looking away. It worked and she started Eye Doodle (isn't that so cool?). So Liv, Jack and I got on-line and ordered a bunch of fun stickers. They are really cute and Lucas looks great in them! It definately makes his patching less "scary" for people who are just meeting him....and you know that everywhere you go people have to look at your baby.
