Surgery

On Wednesday, Septmeber 15th, Lucas had surgery to remove the cataract in his left eye. The surgery went as well as it possibly could and we are thankful for all the prayers and support. We are now waiting for the eye to heal so we can move onto a contact and therapy to get that eye working. Here are a few pictures from our day.

In our cubicle- waiting and waiting and waiting for surgery........ it ended up only being pushed back an hour and a half but it seemed like forever....we just wanted it all to be over

Lucas didn't eat for 6 hours before they finally took him to surgery......no crying....he just slept and cuddled. Thank you, Lord for calming our son.

Yep, the Dr. came in and marked which eye to operate on............ scary, right?

This is in recovery- gotta tell ya, it was heaven to see him again.

He was screaming when they brought us to him but once I was able to feed him he calmed right down and fell asleep.

AHHHHH- a warm blankie and each other....just what we needed. All is right in our world again.

Waiting for discharge papers....we were told Lucas may have to stay overnight but thankfully, even though our surgery was late they still allowed us to go home.

Another School Year Begins!

Where in the world did summer go???? I feel like school just ended a week or so ago......but here we are at the start of another school year. Jackson is in 1st grade with Mrs. Stradling and Liv is in 3rd grade with Miss Mease. They were super excited for their first day- here are a few pix.

Announcing Lucas Duston Mott

We are so very thankful to announce the arrival of Lucas Duston. He joined our family on August 12th at 9:59 am. He is doing great and his big sister and big brother couldn't be any happier. David and I are adjusting to having a newborn again......it has been a long time since we did this! Here are some cute pix of our handsome son....
